Los Angeles: Priyanka Chopra recently expressed her desire to play the female version of James Bond in the popular British spy drama franchise.
Priyanka is a huge fan of James Bond and thinks it's time for a female Bond for which she considers herself the perfect candidate.
"I've always been keen on (playing James Bond) but I can't put myself into the race obviously," said the Quantico star.
"I think, in my lifetime it would be amazing to have a female Bond. Whether that's me or someone else, it's something I would love to see."

However, Priyanka made it clear she's a serious contender as when the actor was asked which actor she could see stepping into Daniel Craig's shoes, she promptly joked, "Me!"
"I don't know, I would just be very happy with the fact that it would be a woman," said PeeCee.
She added, "I definitely think (it's time)."
The much-awaited 25th James Bond film No Time To Die is all set to hit the screens on April 3, next year in India. Daniel Craig who plays the central character is rumoured to be his fifth and final outing in the role.
On the work front, Priyanka will be making her Bollywood comeback after a hiatus of nearly three years with her upcoming film The Sky Is Pink.
The film also stars Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim, Rohit Saraf in pivotal roles. Directed by Shonali Bose, The Sky Is Pink is a bittersweet drama about a couple, played by Priyanka and Farhan who loses their daughter to pulmonary fibrosis, a serious immune disease.
The Sky Is Pink had its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The film will hit the big screens on October 11.
