Mumbai: A case was registered against actor Poonam Pandey by the Mumbai Police for violating lockdown norms on Sunday. Her car has also been seized by the police.

The actor was found roaming in her swanky car at Marine Drive without any reason. A case under the National Disaster Management Act has been registered against Poonam at 8 pm by Marine Drive Police Station.

"A case has been registered against Ms. Pandey and Sam Ahmad Bombay (46) under sections 269 (Negligent act likely to spread infection of a disease dangerous to life) and 188 (Disobedience of order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under provisions of the National Disaster Act," said a senior police inspector.

On a related note, in February this year, Poonam had filed a complaint in the Bombay High Court against actor Shilpa Shetty's husband, businessman Raj Kundra, and his associates.

Pandey has alleged that Kundra and his associates have been illegally using content featuring her even after a contract between the two parties was terminated. Kundra and his associate Saurabh Kushwah have denied Pandey's charge and even claimed that they have not received any notice.

It is being claimed that Kundra and his team were using her content explicitly and they even put out her personal contact number.
