Mumbai: The Cyberabad Police Commisionerate has recently served notices to Bollywood stars prima facie for their involvement in the multi-level marketing scam involving Qnet.
The list of stars includes Anil Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Vivek Oberoi, Pooja Hegde and Allu Sirish who had participated in the company's programmes.
Lookout circulars have also been issued against 12 people associated with the company as directors and promoters.
While Anil Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan and Boman Irani have reverted to the notices through their advocates, responses from other celebrities are still awaited.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said that responses from the celebrities' end are being studied.
In relation to the case, the Cyberabad Police have registered 38 cases in various police stations falling under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. Besides this, Police have also arrested 70 people in the multi-level marketing scam which allegedly involved Qnet.

Apart from several cases registered against Vihaan Direct Selling Pvt Ltd (QNet), the police chief pointed out that notices have also been served to the top 500 promoters of the scheme in different states.
Speaking about the Qnet controversy, he said: "It was a case of cheating by Vihaan, a franchisee of QI Group in India being marketed under the brand name of QNet."
According to the police, Vihaan, formerly known as Gold Quest and Quest Net, is a Hong Kong-based direct selling/multi-level marketing (MLM) company owned by the QI Group who were targeting software employees, unemployed youth and homemakers.
Stating that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has initiated the process of winding up Vihaan, Sajjanar appealed people not to join Qnet and also not to make any payments to Vihaan.
