Mumbai: A petition has been filed in the Bombay High Court seeking permanent suspension of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut's Twitter account.

The criminal petition filed by advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh requested the HC to take action to stop the spread of hate and disharmony by the actor.

Earlier this year, Kangana's sister, Rangoli Chandel's Twitter account was deactivated following her tweet over Jamatis and spread of coronavirus.

A massive backlash forced Twitter India to take cognisance of the matter and in a day her verified account was deactivated.
