Mumbai: Bollywood actress and reality TV performer Payal Rohatgi has filed a complaint against fellow actor Ajaz Khan on Friday. The actress alleged that the actor has posted an objectionable video of her, targetting her religious sentiments and political beliefs.

The actress based in Ahmedabad filed her complaint with the cybercrime wing of the city police.

Interacting with the reporters, the actress said: "I have filed a complaint as I am concerned about my safety."

The actor was arrested on Thursday in connection with another case by the Mumbai Police.

He has been charged under several sections of the Indian Penal Code and IT Act Sec. 67 which might award him a jail term of five years and/or fine of Rs 5,00,000.

The court sent Ajaz to police custody till July 20.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime) Jitu Yadav said that the police have received Rohatgi's application that sought actions against Ajaz Khan.

Mumbai Police spokesperson said that the cyber police have also received some videos that had gone viral on social media. Speaking about the case, he said: "It was found that Ajaz Khan has created/uploaded these videos with objectionable content mainly promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, etc. and create hatred among public at large."

Further probe is underway.
