Hyderabad: Actor-turned-politician Prakash Raj celebrated 11 years of married life with his wife Pony Verma on August 24. Celebrating their special day in presence of loved ones, Prakash and Pony renewed their vows for an endearing reason. Prakash, who recently recovered from a fracture, took to social media to share pictures from his wedding anniversary celebration.
The actor shared a series of pictures on Twitter, while his wife put out a short video of them dancing in each other's arms on Instagram Stories. Sharing the pictures, the 56-year-old actor revealed the reason why he and Pony renewed their vows and wrote, "We got married again tonight..because our son #vedhant wanted to witness it Family moments #bliss."

In the pictures, along with Vedhant, Prakash's daughters, Meghana and Pooja, from his first marriage to Lalitha Kumari are also seen. Prakash and Lalitha parted ways in 2009 after which he tied the knot with Pony in 2010.

Pony has also shared a video on Instagram which is a montage of her cherished moments with Prakash. The senior actor is known to dabble between multiple language industries and is popular with his body of work. The actor was recently seen in the Tamil anthology Navarasa.
On a related note, Prakash, who is among the busiest South Indian stars, recently announced that he will contest the elections of the Movie Artists Association (MAA), the apex body of Telugu film industry. The 56-year-old will compete for the President's post in the elections to be held next month. He announced 27 names of his panel members.
