'O Saki Saki' from 'Batla House' is a mess: Koena Mitra

The actress thinks that the iconic song which is still as fresh in the audiences' minds shouldn't have been recreated. Though she feels Nora has done a stunning performance.

Mumbai: The new rendition of 'O Saki Saki' from 'Batla House' irked actress Koena Mitra so much that she slammed the makers of the song saying the new version as “a mess”.

Nora Fatehi, who gave a sizzling performance in 'O Saki Saki' is actually a remake of a song by the same name from the 2004 movie. The original track from 'Musafir' featured Koena Mitra and Sanjay Dutt.

Reacting to the video, the actress recently took to her Twitter handle to keep forward her views.

The actress wrote: "My song from Musafir #SaakiSaaki has been recreated. Sunidhi, Sukhwinder, Vishal, Shekhar combination was outstanding. Didn't like the new version, it's a mess! This song had crashed many blockbusters! Why batlahouse, why? P. S: Nora is a stunner. Hope she saves our pride."

Composed by Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani, the original song was sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan which was a massive hit. The recreated version has been crooned by Tulsi Kumar, Neha Kakkar and B Praak.

The lyrics recreated by Tanishk Bagchi hasn't quite struck the chord with the actress.

Releasing on Monday, the hottest dance anthem of the season has already grabbed 3,04,464 eyeballs and 36k likes on the internet.
