Hyderabad: Actors Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor and their director of upcoming film Raj Mehta contracted COVID-19 while shooting for Jug Jug Jeeyo in Chandigarh. After a week of Neetu's recovery, now Varun has reportedly beat the novel coronavirus and will resume the shoot soon after they complete their 14 day isolation period.

While Varun is yet to share the update about his COVID-19 test, several reports suggest that the actor has tested negative in his latest diagnosis and will be ready to bounce back in few days as his symptoms have subsided and his antigen tests have been negative. The actor is yet to undergo a final test today and based on the results he will resume the shoot.

In the absence of Raj, film's producer Shashank Khaitan had reportedly stepped in to save the schedule and went ahead to shoot with Kiara Advani and Anil Kapoor.

The comedy entertainer marks Neetu Kapoor's comeback in movies after seven years. She was last seen on-screen opposite her late superstar husband Rishi Kapoor in Besharam in 2013.
