New Delhi: Sushant Singh Rajput's family lawyer Vikas Singh said Mumbai Police doesn't want the truth to come out after Patna SP Vinay Tiwari was put under quarantine following his arrival in Mumbai to join case probe.

"How can probe of such a case be obstructed by keeping people in quarantine?...It appears that somehow Mumbai Police doesn't want truth to come out. If quarantine continues probe will be meaningless. Evidence will be compromised," Vikas Singh, Sushant Singh Rajput's family lawyer said.

"I think matter should go to CBI. If this is how Mumbai Police will obstruct fair investigation in this matter, then probably the only option left for the family of Sushant is to get the matter investigated by CBI. Tomorrow morning I will be able to tell you. If he (father of Sushant Singh Rajput) decides, we will go for CBI investigation," he further added.

As reported earlier, the late actor's father, K.K. Singh on July 25 filed an FIR against his son's girlfriend and Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty, and her family members for allegedly abetting his son's suicide.

Meanwhile, Rhea has filed an application in the Supreme Court to transfer the entire case in Mumbai instead of Patna. Sushant's father, through his lawyer, has also filed a counter-petition to keep the case in Patna. The case is to be heard on August 5.
