Mumbai: Today marks a month of Sushant Singh Rajput's apparent suicide. While the nation is still recuperating from the death of the super talented actor, director Mukesh Chhabra took to social media and remembered his "brother."
Hopping on to Instagram, he wrote in Hindi: "Ek mahina ho gaya hai aaj, aab to kabhi phone bhi nahi ayega tera."
Besides penning down emotional note, Chhabra also shared a string of photos of him and Sushant which were captured at a different point in time.
Soon after he made the post public on Instagram, fans flooded the comment section with heartfelt messages.
While a user wrote, "I miss you Sushant bhai," another commented, 'memories with Sushant are the most meaningful... make it a passion to continue the life to come... Sushant will be happy to see us all happy and in love with him."

Following Sushant’s sudden death, Chhabra penned a heartfelt note, saying, "Sushant was like a brother to me, it is so unfortunate and heartbreaking and I cannot even put it down in words. Sushant was an introvert but he was really intelligent and talented beyond words. The industry has lost a gem, an irreplaceable gem."
"Deeply saddened and shocked. I still can’t believe it. Our endless conversations have come to an abrupt end. I hope you are in a better place my brother, will always miss you and love you. Mera bhai," he wrote.
Sushant's upcoming film Dil Bechara, which also introduces Sanjana Sanghi in a lead role, marks the directorial debut of Mukhesh Chhabra.
The film will be streamed on an online platform on July 24, 2020. Interestingly, Chhabra worked as a casting director on Abhishek Kapoor's Kai Po Che which also happens to be Sushant's debut film.
