Hyderabad: Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan's name is making headlines in connection with the arrest of 54-year-old Monson Mavunkal, a fake antique dealer from Kerala who even took the top most Kerala Police officials for a ride.
According to reports, a luxury car registered in the name of Kareena was found in Mavunkal's possession. A leading daily reported that the Porschse Boxster was registered in Kareena’s name and the registration certificate mentions Randhir Kapoor as her father and their Bandra (Mumbai) address was given.

A motor vehicles department official said 2007 model vehicle was seized by the police last year in connection with a cheating case filed by a business group and that he might have got it from a used car dealer. The actor, however, is yet to confirm the reports.
Ever since the arrest of Monson Mavunkal on Saturday, TV channels in Kerala are having a field day with juicy tales of how he has been taking people for a ride using his high profile connections, especially with the top brass of the Kerala Police. The case against him is of swindling Rs 10 crore from several persons. His victims had approached Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan with their complaints.
