Mardaani 3 in the pipeline? Rani Mukerji spills beans

After the success of Mardaani and Mardaani 2, it seems like Mardaani 3 is the pipeline for Rani Mukerji. The actor revealed that the next instalment of the film will be based on one of the socially relevant issues.

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Rani Mukerji has recently opened about her upcoming films.

In a recent interview with a news portal, the actor said that she is eyeing on the third instalment of the action thriller Mardaani.

"We are planning on it. Particularly after Mardani 2, everyone's expectations have escalated. We are waiting for a good story," Rani said.

"The story of Mardani 3 will be based on some of the relevant issues," she added.

In other news, the actor marked her 42nd birthday on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actor has wrapped up filming the Abu Dhabi schedule of her upcoming film Bunty and Babli 2. The film is a sequel to the 2005 release that goes by the same name. The forthcoming flick is set to reunite Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji after 11 years.

An official statement said that the film will "showcase them as the original Bunty Aur Babli."

The film will also feature Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari, a young talent YRF discovered two years ago.

Produced by Aditya Chopra, the movie is set to hit the theatres on June 26, 2020.
