Madhuri croons Ed Sheeran's Perfect, son Arin accompanies on piano

Madhuri Dixit, who is known for her dancing skills chose to wow the audience with her singing talent at the I For India concert held live on Facebook on Sunday. The actor performed a cover of Ed Sheeran's popular track Perfect for the COVID-19 fundraiser.

Mumbai: Madhuri Dixit was one among the over 85 celebrities from India and across the globe who united to raise funds for India's fight against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The actor crooned Ed Sheeran's popular track Perfect for which she was accompanied by her elder son Arin on piano.

Madhuri has apparently imbibed the singing talent from her mother, Snehlata Dixit, who is a trained classical singer. The actor made her singing debut alongside her mother with Rangi Sari Gulaabi Chunariya, a track from 2014 release Gulab Gang. And now, she is all over the internet with her rendition of Ed Sheeran's superhit romantic track Perfect.

Madhuri was a delight to watch as she aced the Perfect cover with Arin in tow on piano. The mother-son duo pulled off a four and half minute gig for the four-hour digital concert which was live-streamed on Facebook on Sunday.

Besides Madhuri, the fundraiser saw a massive Hollywood and Bollywood participation.

Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Hrithik Roshan, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Vicky Kaushal, Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif, Rani Mukerji, Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh were among 85 artistes who participated in the virtual concert to raise funds for those affected by the novel coronavirus.

Also joining in were Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, and Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan.

International stars including Jack Black, Will Smith, Russel Peters, Mick Jagger, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were also part of the concert.

Everyone did their bit to entertain the audience while performing at the noble show, which was organised by filmmakers Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar.

All proceeds generated from the concert will go to the India COVID Response Fund managed by GiveIndia.
