Though Kango left the cinematic province before she could completely explore it or get explored, what is aspiring about her story is following not what her heart or mind said but chasing what would give her sense of contentment.

"I ended up here, because I was destined to be here," said Mayuri Kango once about her stint in Hindi cinema. However, she was also destined to spread her wings and experience Life Beyond Reel as she bid adieu to the glitz and glamour of the movie industry.

Since she never hatched the dream of seeing herself on the big or small screen, Mayuri apparently was focused on her studies than knocking the doors of film production banners in hunt of chance.

The actor in her was discovered by Saeed Akhtar Mirza, the man who gave Hindi cinema its Albert Pinto, Arvind Desai, Mohan Joshi and Salim Langda. Kango took flight as an actor with Saeed's Naseem in which she played a young Muslim girl.

An aspiring actor goes through phases before he/she gets a footing in the ever-crowded industry. Beginning with struggle, they patiently wait for the breakthrough after which comes acing the game of staying in the league.

Interestingly, Mayuri had to learn her lessons the other way round as her journey commenced sans essential rejections and hardships that ignites the fire in the belly of an aspiring actor in early days. Thus, it took a few films for her to learn, understand and value the opportunity life had bestowed upon her.
