Hyderabad: Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif and Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda are all set to come onboard for an upcoming film. The said project is going to be treated as a bilingual film, reports suggest.

Vijay, who gained all-India popularity with his 2017 Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy is yet to make his debut in Bollywood with the upcoming film Liger. The actor also has signed the dotted lines for Shiva Nirvana and Koratala Siva's upcoming ventures. The latest buzz around Vijay's upcoming film suggests that the actor will be starring alongside Katrina Kaif in either of the films that he has signed with Shiva and Kortala in the South.

Though it's primarily a South film, Vijay and Katrina starrer will be treated as a bilingual project mounted on a lavish budget as the makers are aiming for a pan-India film. With Katrina's presence, it will be easy to push the film in Hindi market, while Vijay's craze in Telugu-speaking states will apparently make it a safe project.
Vijay's fans would have been in a mood for double celebrations as today is his birthday and the makers were all set to release the teaser of his pan-India film Liger. The plan, however, got changed as the team has now postponed the Liger teaser release considering the situation the nation is going through due to pandemic.

Meanwhile, Katrina will be seen opposite another Southern superstar Vijay Sethupathi in Sriram Raghavan's upcoming film. The actor also has Phone Bhoot with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter and the next instalment of the Tiger franchise in her kitty.
