Kashmera Shah lauds Salman Khan for paying ailing Faraaz Khan's medical bills

Bollywood actor Faraaz Khan is battling for life in a hospital in Bengaluru after he was diagnosed with a brain infection. The actor's treatment required Rs 25 lakh, for which his family had started a fundraiser. According to actor Kashmera Shah's latest social media post, Salman Khan has taken care of the expanses for Faraaz's treatment.

Bengaluru: Bollywood actor Faraaz Khan is battling for his life after suffering multiple seizures, his family has said. Khan will require another seven to ten days of critical care and expense for the treatment will be around Rs 25 lakh. Salman Khan has extended helping hand after the family started a fundraiser.

Khan, son of late Bollywood actor Yusuf Khan, has been admitted to Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru, the family said. The details about the actor's health were shared on a fundraising platform by his family members -- Farhad Abousher and Ahmed Shamoon.

They said that Khan had been suffering from a cough and an infection in his chest for nearly a year and it aggravated recently. However, Khan suffered seizures thrice when he was being taken to the hospital. It was later diagnosed that he suffered the seizures due to a "herpes infection in his brain that had spread from his chest".

The actor's treatment requires Rs 25 lakh for his treatment, which according to actor Kashmera Shah's latest social media post is taken care of by Salman.

Lauding Salman for his generous act on social media, Shah wrote: "You are truly a great Human Being. Thank you for taking care of Faraaz Khan and his medical bills. Actor Faraaz Khan of Fareb game is in critical condition and Salman has stood by his side and helped him like he helps so many others. I am and will always remain a true admirer. If people don’t like this post I don’t care. You have a choice to unfollow me. This is what I think and fee. I think he is the most genuine person I have ever met in this film industry @beingsalmankhan."

Earlier, actor-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt also shared a plea on Twitter to help raise funds for Faraaz's treatment, with a post: "Please share and contribute if possible. I am. Would be grateful if any of you can as well."

Faraaz starred opposite Rani Mukerji in the 1998 release Mehndi and Vikram Bhatt's 1996 thriller Fareb.
