Hyderabad: Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan, who is known for romantic roles, is apparently aiming for an image makeover. After signing horror-comedy, thriller and action drama, now Kartik is gearing up for a sports film.
According to reports, Kartik is in talks for an upcoming film that is set against the backdrop of cricket. The untitled film will be bankrolled by Karan Johar's banner Dharma Productions and Kartik aside, the makers are also in talks with an A-list diva to headline the film.

To helm the project, KJo will be reuniting with his Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl director Sharan Sharma. The film which is in its pre-production stage is not a biopic. The makers are focused on telling a fictional tale loaded with emotions. Though reports about Kartik's casting are rife the actor is yet to sign the dotted lines. If everything falls in place, the film will go on floors by end of this year.

Meanwhile, Kartik will be seen in the horror-comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, starring Tabu and Kiara Advani. The film is a sequel to 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which stars Akshay Kumar in the lead. The film is slated to hit screens in November this year. He is also part of Dostana 2 alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya, and will also be seen in the film Dhamaka, which will release digitally.
