Kareena to turn cop for Irrfan's 'Angrezi Medium'

Kareena Kapoor Khan has apparently decided to dabble in a variety of roles and subjects. The actress whose last outing was an all-women flick 'Veere Di Wedding', has period drama 'Takht' in her kitty. Kareena will also be seen playing a cop in Irrfan Khan's much-awaited 'Hindi Medium' sequel, 'Angrezi Medium'. The Homi Adajania directorial will be apparently a great addition to Bebo's filmography.

Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to play a cop in Irrfan Khan starrer 'Angrezi Medium'. Kareena has been roped in to play the second female lead in the film which is sequel to 2016 relese 'Hindi Medium'.

Films producer Dinesh Vijan told a leading lady that Kareena is a great addition to the franchise and the team is excited to have her on board.

Besides Kareena and Irrfan, 'Angrezi Medium' star cast also includes Radhika Madan. The 'Pataakha' actress will be seen as Irrfan’s daughter in the film directed by Homi Adajania.

Earlier, Irrfan had shared a picture on his Twitter handle from the sets of the film, where he introduced his character Champak, who is a sweet shop owner. On the other hand, Deepak Dobriyal, who also stars in the film, plays the role of his brother and Manu Rishi, who also features in the film, plays the role of his cousin. The trio runs sweet shops and are rivals to each other.

'Angrezi Medium' which went on floors in Udaipur earlier this month, will also be shot in London.

Besides, 'Angrezi Medium', Kareena has Karan Johar's period drama 'Takht' with ensemble cast starring Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in pivotal roles.
