Hyderabad: Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced his next production venture which will revisit C. Shankar Nair's exceptional bravery that he showcased while fighting British Raj to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Karan took to social media to share the news.
On Tuesday morning, Karan took to Instagram and wrote, "Extremely excited and honoured to be bringing the untold story of C. Sankaran Nair, a historic man to the big screens. Directed by @karanstyagi. More details to follow soon, stay tuned!"

Titled The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair, the film is inspired by real-life events and adapted from the book The Case That Shook the Empire, written by Raghu Palat, (great-grandson of Sankaran Nair) and his wife Pushpa Palat.
Bankrolled by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Anand Tiwari, the film will be directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. The makers are aiming to commence the shoot shortly while an announcement for the lead actor is yet to be made.
