Talking about the preparations for the role, Kangana said, "The character of Jayalalitha for me is very amazing and this is for the first time that I am going to transform myself. I will not get to see my face on screen but someone else's which is my first experience. This will be the first time when people will not connect with my face which is a good thing but as an actor, I feel have to be very selfless."
