Hyderabad: Bollywood actor-producer Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the arrest of Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra for allegedly making pornographic content and publishing them through mobile applications. Kangana has yet again lashed out at the film industry and said that she will 'expose underbelly of Bollywood' in her maiden production venture Tiku weds Sheru.
The sudden arrest of Kundra -- a British-Indian businessman -- stunned Bollywood which is already reeling under the scanner of various narcotics agencies since the past year, further soiling the industry's image. Reacting to Raj's arrest, Kangana has called the film industry 'gutter' and said that she will 'expose the underbelly' of the glamorous film industry in her debut production.
On Tuesday, Kangana took to Instagram Stories and wrote, "This is why I call movie industry a gutter...all that glitter is not gold, I am going to expose underbelly of Bollywood in mu upcoming production called Tiku Weds Sheru." This is not the first time when Kangana has called film industry 'gutter'. In 2020, the actor Kangana tweeted to express her rant against her Bollywood colleagues. "There is an unwritten law in the film industry 'you hide my dirty secrets I will hide yours' the only basis of their loyalty to each other. Since I am born I am seeing only these handful of men from the film families run the industry. When will this change? #BollywoodStrikesBack. Bullywood the gutter of drugs, exploitation, nepotism and jihad it's lid is off instead of cleaning this gutter #BollywoodStrikesBack well file a case on me also, till the time I am alive I will continue to expose you all #BollywoodStrikesBack," she wrote on her Twitter handle which is now permanently suspended for repeated violations of rules.
Meanwhile, Kundra, 46, was nabbed late on Monday on alleged charges of making and publishing pornographic content and publishing them through mobile applications. Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale himself made the announcement on Kundra's arrest based on a case registered in February. Since February, Kundra was under the scrutiny of the Crime Branch-CID before the police's dramatic move last night.
