Mumbai: Clearing the air about his quotes on female-led action films like Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Dhaakad, director and choreographer Ahmed Khan on Wednesday heaped praises on the actor.
The director had created a furore on social media when he said that female led films don't work at the box office. He faced a lot of flak for passing remarks on the female led movies.
The director said that he was earlier quoted out of context and gave further clarifications.
"Kangana is the female Baaghi, the hero of Bollywood, and the only girl who can pull off an action film," Khan said.
"I really liked Dhaakad teaser and got gooseflesh while watching it. She is a brilliant and powerful actor. If she approves my script, I will definitely work with her," Khan added.
The Queen actor is gearing up to lose some extra fat that she had to put on for the character of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa in her biopic Thalaivi.
In one of her latest tweet, Rangoli Chandel, sister to Kangana Ranaut, revealed that the Queen actor has gained 20kg during the shoot of Thalaivi. Rangoli also shared that she will soon be filming her next projects Dhaakad and Tejas.

Speaking on essaying the role of the former Chief Minister, Kangana said, "After Manikarnika, this is my second biopic, and I am honoured to portray such a strong lady. Her personality was very different from anything I have portrayed earlier. It's very gratifying to play someone who was so determined, persevered but had a silent strength which distinguished her from everyone else."
The 32-year-old actor is prepping for the shoot of Dhaakad which will involve high octane action and combat scenes.
