Mumbai: Filmmaker Kabir Khan is all set to enter the digital medium as a director with upcoming web series titled The Forgotten Army: Azaadi Ke Liye.
His forthcoming directorial venture will feature actors Sunny Kaushal and Sharvari leading the cast.
The series will reportedly tell true stories of the men and women who fought for the independence of India as part of the Indian National Army led by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. An official confirmation on the plot is still awaited.
On Tuesday, Kabir shared the first poster of the web series.
Besides directing, Khan is also writing the script. The web series is set to come out next year on the giant OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.
Kabir Khan took to his social media handle to share the news with his fans and followers.

Sharing the same, he wrote on Instagram: "Walking into a new medium with a longstanding dream! Super excited to present my passion project, #TheForgottenArmy."
Expressing excitement on the announcement, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh exclaimed: "HAAAAAAAAAN!!!"
Vicky Kaushal's brother Sunny, who was last seen in Gold, also shared the poster on Instagram.
He wrote: "Blood, sweat and passion... sab Azaadi ke liye.. screen wahi, scale alag!"
Kabir's last digital outing was the multilingual documentary drama titled Roar of The Lion. Khan produced the web series for Hotstar.
