Mumbai: Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta is being roped in to play Alia Bhatt's father in upcoming flick 'Sadak 2'. Following the reports of Jisshu playing Bhatt's father, the fans of 'Piku' actor feel that he is too young to play dad to 26-year-old Alia.
Jisshu's casting in 'Sadak 2' was announced long back but the details about his character were kept under the wrap. While the actor is upbeat about his role in the film, his fans apparently not happy with the 42-year-old actor stepping into father's character.
But then, that is what acting is all about. Living many lives in one!
Meanwhile, Jisshu, who is father of two in real, heaped praise on his reel daughter Alia.
"Alia’s passion for her craft is commendable. Her heart is in her work and she is amongst the finest actors we have in Indian cinema today," said Jisshu to a leading webloid.

Back home, the critically acclaimed actor enjoys a huge fan base. When it comes to Hindi speaking market, Jisshu impressed audience with his performance in 'Barfi', 'Mardaani' and 'Manikarnika'.
Besides Jisshu and Alia, the film also stars Pooja Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Bose and Akshay Anand.
'Sadak 2' is sequel to the hit 1991 film 'Sadak', a romantic thriller, which featured Pooja and Sanjay. It was one of the highest-grossing Hindi movie of 1991 with a popular musical score.
Late Sadashiv Amrapurkar's award-winning performance as the villain, Maharani won hearts and is still one of the all time best bad guy in Bollywood. The film was inspired by the 1976 American movie 'Taxi Driver'.
The movie is scheduled to release on July 10, 2020.
