Mumbai: Following several protests seeking a ban on Deepika Padukone's latest film Chhapaak, the members of Jan Adhikar Party have come out in support of the film.
As the film has hit the big screens on Friday, the members of the party reached Mona cinema and warned the protestors of the consequences if they opposed the film's screening.
Security arrangements have been made stricter outside the theatre in Patna owing to recurring protests and fears of riots over Chhapaak's release in the state capital.
As activists of Jana Adhikar Party kept a watch on the rioters outside the cinema hall, police personnel have been deployed outside the theatre to prevent any kind of massacre.
Moments after Deepika stood in solidarity with the JNU student, several leaders and followers of certain political institutions demanded a boycott on the film.
JNU has been broiling in raging violence since Sunday when a group of masked miscreants thronged at the campus and assaulted the students with sticks and metal rods at the Sabarmati Hostel.

The JNU administration and leaders, cutting across political lines, have condemned the attack on students and urged the police to take action against the perpetrators.
The Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress have also extended their support for the film.
The Samajwadi Party has booked the entire hall for a show of Chhapak in Gomtinagar in Lucknow to show the film to its cadres.
Congress has also put up posters supporting the film, which is based on the life of a real-life acid attack survivor Lakshmi Agarwal.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film also stars Vikrant Massey.
