Mumbai: Deepika Padukone has wrapped up the first schedule for her forthcoming film 'Chhapaak', which is directed by Meghna Gulzar.
Meghna took to social media to announce the schedule wrap for 'Chhappak'. The director shared two images of her cheery and elated team and captioned it with: "Happily halfway done! Delhi schedule wrap for team #Chhapaak".
'Chhapaak' is based on the real life acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and Deepika is portraying Laxmi in it.
On her role, Deepika had said: "A character that will stay with me forever. It's a very important story and it's a true life incident, so hopefully good things will come out of it."
On a related note, a lip-locking scene of Deepika and her co-star Vikrant Massey has been leaked online. In the videos that have been doing the rounds on the Internet, the actors can be seen romancing each other at a terrace here while shooting for the film in Delhi.
'Chhapaak' would be Deepika's first production under her banner, Ka Productions.
The film is scheduled to release on January 10, 2020.
