Patna: 'Super 30' is all set to release in 71 countries on July 12. Hrithik Roshan plays the principal character of Bihari mathematician Anand Kumar. In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, Anand spoke about the significance of the film which celebrates the triumphant story of a common man.
When asked about the aim of the film, Anand said, "The film is not just the story of Anand Kumar. It speaks about all those teachers who help hardworking poor students, who are deprived of facilities to achieve their goals. The film also shows the struggles of a teacher who is the below poverty line. It depicts how in spite of all the pressures from self-centred people and mafias, he succeeds. In the end, the teacher proves that if the students work hard and have calibre then no one can stop them from succeeding."
On being asked if all the 30 students in the film hail from Bihar, Anand said, "The unique part of the film is that all the 30 students who have been featured in the film are from Bihar and Pankaj Tripathi is also from Bihar. It is a very positive film on Bihar. Till today, there were many hit films which featured Bihar in a negative way. After seeing the film, Biharis will feel proud and they will be respected by all. After watching the film, people will think that yes, Bihari people have the capabilities and they can do a lot. They can overcome all the barriers and surpass all the difficult situations and make history."
Talking about the positive influence that 'Super 30' will have on viewers, Anand said, "'Super 30' will act as an inspiration for all the sections whether rich or poor."
'Super 30' also stars Mrunal Thakur, Pankaj Tripathi, Johnny Lever and Amit Sadh in notable roles.
Helmed by Vikas Bahl, the biographical drama is produced by Phantom Films, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Reliance Entertainment.
