Mumbai: Actor Taapsee Pannu has yet again come out in support of Anurag Kashyap amid #MeToo charges. Pannu said that the filmmaker bats for women empowerment and if found guilty of sexual harassment she will break all ties with him.
Taapsee and Anurag forged a strong friendship while making their 2018 release Manmarziyaan. Ever since then the two apparently share mutual admiration which time and again reflects in their social media feed.

A day after budding actor Payal Ghosh accused Kashyap of sexual harassment, Taapsee lent her support to the latter. Taapsee took to her Instagram account and called the Dev D helmer one of the "biggest" feminists.
While more women who have worked with Anurag are coming out in his support, Taapsee yet again vouched for his innocence. In an interview with a leading webloid the Pink star said that sets of Anurag's films have an equal number of women who only have nice things to say about him.

Staunchly defending Kashyap, the Mulk star said, "If someone has been harassed, let them initiate an investigation, let the truth come out. If he is found guilty, I’ll be the first person to break all ties with him."
Not ruling out the misuse of #MeToo movement, Pannu further said, "If the investigation is inconclusive, how can the sanctity of the #MeToo movement be sustained? How will real victims benefit from a power that’s come to us after years of suppression? It’s wrong for women to derail the movement. Abusing power isn’t gender-specific."
