Mumbai: Starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao, 'Roohi Afza' has kicked started filming on Friday. The duo will be seen sharing screen space for the first time in the film.
Jointly produced by Dinesh Vijan and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the film will mark the directorial debut of Hardik Mehta.
The actress will be seen romancing Rajkummar Rao in the horror-comedy drama.
Announcing the news about her forthcoming film, Janhvi wrote on Instagram: "Karne aa rahe hai attention ko kabza, aaj se shuru hoti hai #RoohiAfza!"

The 'Dhadak' star plays a double role of Roohi and Afsana in the movie. The characters are protrayed in contrast.
The film which is slated to release on March 20, 2020, will also star Varun Sharma in a prominent role.
Earlier, Dinesh Vijan said he is really happy with the casting. Praising the incredible actors, he said: "For Roohi Afza, we needed actors who could jump into their roles with unabashed conviction.”
Dinesh went on to add: “Rajkummar and Varun are phenomenal actors, comedy is a space they excel in and own. For the female lead, we needed someone who could portray two contrasting personalities with ease, and Janhvi stood out. She really connected with the script."
The Maddock Films production will be Rajkummar's third collaboration with Dinesh Vijan after 'Stree' and 'Made in China'.
The first schedule of Roohi Afza will reportedly be shot in Uttar Pradesh.
