Hyderabad: Superstar Akshay Kumar has screens booked for the next two years. The actor has reportedly booked Diwali 2022 for the release of his just-announced film, Ram Setu.
Ram Setu, which is backed by Akshay's production house is scheduled to hit big screens during Diwali 2022 weekend and the shoot for the film will commence from mid next year, a leading webloid reported.
Though further details are awaited, Ram Setu promises to be an action-adventure drama that blends myth and reality. The film will be helmed by Abhishek Sharma, whose latest outing Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, became the first Bollywood release since the lockdown.

The team is planning to capture a major part of the film in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram. The actor has reportedly got a nod from the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath when he met him in a Mumbai hotel earlier this month.
Before he kickstarts shooting for Ram Setu, Akshay has a string of already announced projects at various stages of production. The actor has Rohit Shetty's cop drama Sooryavanshi ready for release while Atrangi Re with Aanand L Rai and period drama Prithviraj are in the making. He will be reuniting with Aanand for Raksha Bandhan but before that, he has Farhad Samji's action-comedy Bachchan Pandey to wrap.
