Amitabh Bachchan's daughter can't control her excitement ahead of her dad's birthday. She recently shared a throwback picture of the megastar and penned down a heartfelt note.

Mumbai: Ahead of megastar Amitabh Bachchan's 77th birthday on October 11, his daughter Shweta Bachchan penned down a heartfelt post for him on social media.

Shweta uploaded a throwback picture on her Instagram handle and wrote, "Home is not a place, it is a person."

In the picture, Big B can be seen holding the baby Shweta in his arms. The father-daughter duo has often expressed their love for each other on social media.

After Amitabh was selected for the Dada Saheb Phalke award for the year 2018 for his contribution to the Indian film industry, Shweta took to her Instagram to congratulate dad. She uploaded a picture of Amitabh and wrote, "Whose your Dada (Saheb Phalke)? Uncontainable excitement, pride, tears, and general hysteria!!! Congratulations Papa ♥️."

Earlier this year, on the occasion of Father's Day, Shweta had posted adorable post for her father, writing,"I don't know if I believe in mirrors to souls, but when we smile, you and I, our noses crinkle in the same way, as if choreographed, and our cheeks balloon up just so...to see your face at the end of a long day makes me feel I'm home, no matter where in the world we are, so maybe, just maybe, when I look at us in a picture, sharing a joke, I become a believer."

She also shared an old picture with Jaya Bachchan and her grandmother Teji Bachchan.

Shweta was recently in Jaisalmer with family and friends. She posted a picture from her vacation.

Despite being Amitabh Bachchan's daughter, Shweta kept away from showbiz. She married businessman Nikhil Nanda in 1997. They have two kids, Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda.
