Hyderabad: She is vivacious, outspoken and courageous enough to not get bogged down by the trolls but teach them a lesson in return. With her fair share of hits and misses, Taapsee Pannu is now on the rolls after 11 years of her debut with Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam.

Working with Amitabh Bachchan is what newbies dream about. While others remain in awe of the great actor, Taapsee became friends with the septuagenarian megastar. A feat which only Taapsee has managed to do so far from the young generation.

While she keeps making headlines for calling a spade a spade and locking horns with Kangana Ranaut, the actor was brave enough in her initial days to ridicule a veteran South filmmaker's obsession over heroine's midriff. However, she apparently disappointed her fans when she later rendered an apology for her remark. Taapsee's ability to stay away from the lure of stardom in Bollywood is also lauded by directors like Shoojit Sircar and Anurag Kashyap with whom she has done multiple projects.

The Pink actor has a clean image with no controversies attached barring IT raids, and that contributes hugely to her appealing to a wider fan base. With no godfather in the industry, Pannu’s rise to stardom has been slow yet steady. It has taken her a while to reach a place where she can do the films she wants to and now the actor is literally living out of the suitcase.

Pannu has as many as six films in her bag. She seems to have covered all ground when it comes to genres. After murder mystery Haseen Dillruba, her fans can expect to see a lot of her on screens in the months to come. She has Looop Lapeta, Rashmi Rocket, Dobaaraa, and Shaabash Mithu in Bollywood, besides an untitled Tamil film.

Taapsee's unassuming charisma coupled with a powerful personality makes her a simple girl next door and an aspirational role model, both at the same time. Taapsee can afford to be brutally honest about her take on nepotism, star system and female-centric films. When the critically acclaimed actor was once questioned on starring in Judwaa 2 she shut down the criticism saying ''make women-centric films huge box office success'' so that she need not take up the commercial potboilers.

Though she is passionate about films it's not that she will be doing it for the rest of her life. Taapsee works hard to get challenging roles but the actor works even harder to not let the films consume all her life. From a software engineer to a successful actor to someone who also co-owns a wedding planning company and has launched a productions banner Outsider Films, Taapsee is a real multitasker.

Her sporty streak has been apparent in the last few years on and off-screen thus it came as no real surprise when she bought a team in the Premier Badminton League. Extremely articulative in her thoughts and expressions, Taapsee manages to infuse some fresh breeze into the film industry so far and ETV Bharat wishes she keeps doing so in years to come.
