Mumbai: Actor Alia Bhatt on Wednesday treated her fans with the intriguing first look from the much-anticipated movie titled Gangubai Kathiawadi.
The 26-year-old actor took to her social media handle to share the first look poster of the biographical drama.
The Raazi actor hopped on to Instagram and posted a couple of poster of the film. Sharing the same, she wrote: "Here she is, Gangubai Kathiawadi#SanjayLeelaBhansali @prerna_singh6 @jayantilalgadaofficial @bhansaliproductions @penmovies."

Featured as the mafia queen, the first picture showed a younger Gangubai, dressed up in a blue blouse and a red skirt with hair plaited.
Going by the poster, she looks daring as she keeps a revolver over a table near her.
In the second one, she is seen sporting an intense look on her face with kohl-rimmed eyes and a red bindi on her forehead.

In the next black and white picture, she is also seen sporting a thick choker necklace, along with nose pin and earrings. Her red bindi is the only thing that adds colour to the grey-toned photo.

Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi marks the first collaboration between him and Alia. This project will also see Bhansali Productions collaborating with Jayantilal Gada's Pen India Limited.
Based on Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, the story of the film revolves around Gangubai Kothewali, a brothel owner and matriarch.
