Hyderabad: Fatima Sana Shaikh, who was lauded for portraying a strong-headed, feisty wrestler in 'Dangal' said that she will not share her account of sexual harassment even in the times of #MeToo wave when many women across all walks of life and fields have come out with the dark chapter of their lives to strengthen the movement. The actress said what holds her back form sharing that side of her life is the fear of being judged.
Fatima said she is hesitant of sharing her story and does not want to expose that side of her life. She is dealing with it and speaking about it to close people. The 'Thugs of Hindostan' actress said that just like she won’t judge the people who had shared their stories, the actress expects not to be judged for sharing her story as well.
The 27-year-old actress also said that there is definitely a sense of fear and sexual predators are now scared of being publicly shamed and shunned by the industry. She added that for years, an assault was normalized to an n extent when women had accepted abuse something that was normal.
On the work front, Fatima is teaming up with Saif Ali Khan and Ali Fazal for the upcoming 3D horror comedy film titled 'Bhoot Police'. The film will be helmed by Pawan Kripalani, who is known for directing thrillers like 'Phobia' and 'Ragini MMS' in the past.
