Mumbai: Karan Johar's house party for his fraternity friends hogged the headlines post Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Manjinder Sirsa took to Twitter to claim that celebrities attending the bash were in a "drugged state". Nearly a month after the incident, Karan Johar opens up on his private party which is apparently being perceived as a wild drug binge.
KJo's house party kicked the hornet's nest when he shared a video of his "Saturday night vibes" featuring Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Kapoor, and Ayan Mukerji on social media.
Pointing out the surrounding and physical state of the celebrities who were present at the party, KJo and those who attended the gathering were questioned by netizens if their dislike for drugs and narcotic substances was limited to on-screen presence.

Nearly after a month, Karan opened up on the alleged "drug party" he threw at his residence.

On being grilled about his infamous party in a recent interview, KJo said: "Apparently you are not allowed to scratch your nose. Apparently, you are not allowed to put your phone in your back pocket. Apparently, a shadow of light is perceived to be some kind of powder."
The filmmaker also said that they were having a good time "after a hard week of work". he also said that he is not that stupid to put out the video of something of the sorts was happening during the get-together.
Defending his silene all this while, Karan said, "I don't react very well to these baseless accusations because that's what they were, baseless."
KJo also said that in future he will not tolerate such "banal and ridiculous" acquisitions. The Dharma Productions head honcho furiously said that next time he will take the legal route to tackle baseless claims.
In the same interview, Karan also spoke about the inevitable nepotism debate in Bollywood, the failure of 'Kalank' and his upcoming film 'Takht'.
