Mumbai: Actor Rhea Chakraborty, who appeared before the Narcotics Control Bureau for the first time on Sunday, reportedly admitted procuring drugs through her brother Showik Chakraborty.
During the interrogation at the NCB office in Mumbai, Rhea alleged that she obtained narcotic substances for Sushant Singh Rajput.
According to sources, Rhea Chakraborty told NCB officials that she knew about Samuel Miranda who purchased drugs from Zaid on March 17.
Besides the deal, she was also coordinating with the drug peddler Zaid along with her brother Showik Chakraborty, as per Rhea's confession.
The 28-year-old actor admitted that the chats from March 15, were true. According to Rhea, the chats which had her and brother Showik talking about drugs implied that she was procuring drugs for the late actor through her brother.
Besides, Rhea was also aware that Showik used to score drugs from the arrested drug peddler Bashit, who visited her house once.
The actor will again appear before the agency on Monday.
On Saturday, the NCB obtained custody of Showik Chakraborty saying it has got "inkling" of the narcotics network and penetration in Bollywood.
Besides Showik, Miranda and Kaizen, the NCB has arrested Zaid Vilatra (21) and Parihar (23).
Various angles surrounding Rajput's death are being probed by the CBI, Enforcement Directorate (ED) and NCB.
