Mumbai: Concerned about the increase in the level of air pollution, Bollywood actor Dia Mirza on Saturday shared the current air quality index report of Mumbai.
Posting a picture of the blurry skyline, the actor took to her social media handle to share the current AQI of Mumbai.
The picture of the report shared on Dia's Twitter handle read 315 indicating that the current air quality falls into a very poor category.
Clearing the misconception of the blurriness to that of fog, Dia captioned the post: "No skyline. No, #Mumbai this is not winter fog. It is #AirPollution #BeatPollution #NewsThatWontMakeHeadlines #BeatAirPollution."
The former Miss India had also documented the alarming condition of the air on her Instagram stories.
The video is shot from a movie car as it passes through the coastal areas of Mumbai.
"Can't even see the skyline. The air is so bad. No, this is not winter of Mumbai," she wrote alongside the video.
An advocate of community and environmental service, Mirza has achieved the title of Green Crusader of the Year Award at IAA - India Chapter Olive Crown Awards and the Valerian Of Environmental Issues by the makers of the film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
In other news, the Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein fame actor made her debut in the digital space with Kaafir. Her role as Kainaaz Akhtar was largely appreciated by the audience.
Besides Dia, the web series directed by Sonam Nair also features Mohit Raina in the lead role.
