After gaining laurels for the newly released Chapaak trailer, actor Deepika Padukone took to social media to share the movie posters along with an emotional post.

Mumbai: Following the trailer release of the much-awaited film titled Chhapaak, the film's lead actor Deepika Padukone on Tuesday has shared a couple of posters of her upcoming film.

The actor has also penned heartfelt notes along with the posters of the film.

Sharing the posters of the film on Instagram, Deepika wrote: "Rarely do you come across a story where you do not need an entire narration to decide if you want to be a part of a film or not. What is even more rare is to not be able to articulate and put into words what you feel for the film and it's journey."

Earlier during the trailer launch event of Chapaak, the Piku actor burst out into tears while she took the centre stage to speak on the film.

The film is based on the real-life acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal who at the age of 15 was attacked allegedly by a spurned lover. The incident happened in 2005.

Laxmi who had to undergo several surgeries later took up the job of helping other acid attack survivors by promoting campaigns to stop such heinous crimes.

Besides Deepika, the film also stars Vikrant Massey in the lead role.

Helmed by the Raazi director Meghna Gulzar, the film Chhapaak is produced by Deepika Padukone in association with Fox Star Studios.

The movie which is set to release on January 10, 2020, marks the debut of the Tamasha actor in the role of a producer.
