Mumbai: Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone has resumed shooting for her forthcoming film in Goa. The actor had to desist the shoot after she had to depose before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) last month in a drugs related case after her alleged chats came to the fore.
On September 26, Deepika was summoned for questioning by the drug law enforcement agency. In her over a decade long journey in the showbiz, the NCB episode is apparently the first blow to the brand Deepika. The actor, however, seems to have returned to doing what she does the best. According to several reports, Padukone has joined the cast and crew of Shakun Batra's upcoming film.

While Deepika had to discontinue shooting, the makers reshuffled the plan and without waiting for the Piku star to resume shoot, they went ahead with the shooting and canned scenes that featured Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday.

Upon joining the shoot last Thursday, Deepika was seen in good spirits. Since she had gone through a rough phase in the past fortnight, the director wanted her to ease into the process. She shot a light-hearted scene with Siddhant and Ananya, a leading webloid report suggests.

Except casting, the details from the upcoming flick are kept under wraps except for the genre which is domestic noir.
Deepika was last seen in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak earlier this year. She will also feature in Kabir Khan's cricket drama 83, starring husband Ranveer Singh. The actor has also signed director Nag Ashwin's science-fiction next featuring Prabhas.
