Hyderabad: Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone's casting in Ranveer Singh starrer Cirkus is sure to amp up the star power in Rohit Shetty's directorial. Deepika has reportedly given a nod for an extended cameo in Ranveer's film which is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play The Comedy Of Errors.

While Ranveer and Deepika's 83 is yet to hit the screens, Bollywood's power couple has already geared up to enthrall the audience with yet another outing together. According to a webloid report, Deepika will have a special appearance in Cirkus where she has a special dance number alongside some conversational scenes. The report also revealed that Deepy's hilarious sequences are sure to create a laugh riot in the film.

Cirkus went on floors in Mumbai last November. The team will also be shooting extensively in Ooty and Goa. Ranveer will be essaying a double role in the film which also stars Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Johny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Siddhartha Jadhav, and Vrajesh Hirjee. Cirkus is set to release in the winter of 2021.

Cirkus aside, Shakespeare's play has already been adapted in Bollywood by Gulzar as Angoor (1982), starring Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma, and the Bimal Roy-produced Do Dooni Chaar (1968), starring Kishore Kumar and Asit Sen.
