COVID-19: Vivek Oberoi wishes for speedy recovery of Aishwarya, family

Actor Vivek Oberoi took to social media to wish for a speedy recovery of COVID-19 hit Bachchan family. The actor specifically did not mention the name of his ex-flame Aishwarya Rai Bachchan but conveyed well-wishes for the entire family.

Mumbai: Actor Vivek Oberoi on Sunday wished for a speedy recovery of his old flame Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, her daughter Aaradhya, husband Abhishek and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan who tested COVID-19 positive on July 11.

Late on Saturday night, the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan declared that he has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus. On Sunday, the entire family went through antigen tests. While Jaya Bachchan tested negative, Aishwarya, Aaradhya and Abhishek's test results came out to be positive.

"Our prayers for the well being and quick recovery of the family," Vivek wrote in a tweet on Sunday night.

In a separate tweet, he prayed for the well being of Amitabh and Abhishek too.

"Wishing @SrBachchan sir & @juniorbachchan a speedy recovery. We’re all praying for you! Get well super soon! Take care," he wrote.

Vivek and Aishwarya shared screen space in Kyun! Ho Gaya Na... which also starred Amitabh Bachchan in a key role.

Around the same time, the duo also dated in real life.

Meanwhile, innumerable wishes continued to pour in for the Bachchan family.

Taking to Twitter, Amitabh extended gratitude for all the prayers and wishes coming his way. "My dearest extended family, your concern, your prayers and your wishes for Abhishek, Aishwarya, Aaradhya and me for a speedy recovery has filled me with unending gratitude. I thank you all," he tweeted.

"I put my hands together and say thank you for your eternal love and affection," added the Shahenshah of Bollywood.

Currently, Amitabh and Abhishek are undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at Nanavati Hospital. While Aaradhya and Aishwarya have quarantined themselves at home.
