Mumbai: Just a day after the government of Kerala announced that all the movie theatres and multiplexes will be shut down by March end due to the coronavirus epidemic, it is possible that a number of Bollywood's forthcoming flicks will be shifted for a late release.

The list of films to be rescheduled includes Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi, Kabir Khan's 83 and Karan Johar's Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.

If news reports are to be believed, Rohit Shetty is considering to shift the release date of the Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer upcoming cop drama because the recent scenario in Maharashtra suggests that the film might see a low opening.

With new cases being confirmed in Nashik and Pune, there is a chance that the footfall will drop at various important centres on the opening day.

Speaking of Kabir Khan's sports drama 83, which stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, the trailer release date of the film has already been postponed. The trailer was earlier scheduled to release on Wednesday. However, the makers are in talks to postpone the film's release date temporarily.

Bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Zee Studios, Janhvi Kapoor starrer Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl will also see its new release date. However, no such official announcements have been made from the makers' end.
