Mumbai: Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi has been granted interim bail by Dindoshi sessions court on Tuesday.
The court has granted interim relief to the actor till July 19 in a connection with a rape case filed against him.
In a recent tweet, ANI wrote: “Actor Aditya Pancholi has been granted interim relief till 19th of July by Dindoshi Sessions court in a rape case filed against him.”
Aditya had filed for an anticipatory bail a day before he received the interim relief.
The actor was booked on charges of rape by Mumbai police in June after a Bollywood actress filed a complaint against him.
In the complaint filed at Versova Police Station, Pancholi has been charged under Sections 376 (rape), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison), 384 (extortion), 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The actress reportedly had earlier recorded her statement before the Versova Police in support of her previous complaint against Pancholi.
Soon after the FIR was filed, the actor said that he is being "falsely implicated in this case."
