Mumbai: Whenever we hear of Chulbul Pandey, Salman Khan's face pops up in our head with his unique dressing style of wearing shades on the backside, intense gaze and straight face one-liners. And we wonder who could've played the quirky character better than the Bhaijaan!
However, the makers didn't think of Salman when initially designed the character. They had names like Randeep Hooda and Irrfan Khan in mind to play Chulbul Pandey.
According to a leading newswire, Arbaaz who produced 'Dabangg' revealed that it was him who suggested filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap consider Salman for the role and he was more than happy to bring him on board.

Arbaaz also said that Abhinav was planning to cast Randeep Hooda or Irrfan Khan for the main lead but neither of them was finalized until he offered him to produce the film.
'Dabangg' released in 2010 was a cop drama revolving around Chulbul Pandey. The movie which was a huge commercial success was followed by a sequel in 2012, a bigger blockbuster.
'Dabangg3', which is the third film in the 'Dabangg' trilogy, is being helmed by Prabhu Deva and produced under the banner of Salman Khan films and Arbaaz Khan Production.
The upcoming film also stars Sonakshi Sinha reprising her role of Rajjo from the 2010 'Dabangg' which was her debut movie. Besides her, the cast also includes Arbaaz and South actor Kichcha Sudeepa.
The shooting of 'Dabangg 3' is currently underway in Pune. It is slated for Christmas 2019 release.
