Boycott Sadak 2 trends on Twitter, meme goes viral

Following the trailer release of Sadak 2, which happens to be the latest offering from the Bhatt clan, a major section of netizens hopped on to social media to take a stand against the film. As hashtag #BoycottSadak2 keeps on trending, several memes on the film flooded the internet.

Mumbai: Netizens in unison has called out Mahesh Bhatt's latest directorial Sadak 2 and has asked one and all to boycott the film.

Moments after the film's trailer release "Boycott Sadak 2" trended on Twitter. The number of dislikes on the video widely surpassed the number of likes on it.

The film, which stars Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Alia and Pooja Bhatt alongside Aditya Roy Kapur, youngest brother of bigwig producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, has drawn ire on social media for being a nepotistic movie.

The trailer released by Fox Star Hindi on their YouTube channel had drawn 96k likes and over 1.5 million dislikes. Similarly, on the YouTube channel of Disney Plus Hotstar VIP, which is scheduled to premiere the film, the figures stood at 45k likes and over 264k dislikes.

Rejoicing at the trailer getting more dislikes than likes, a user wrote: "Get ready to witness the most disliked trailer on YouTube. #BoycottSadak2."

Another commented: "Warriors let's make it 'Sadak Thoo' #SushantWasMurdered #BoycottSadak2."

A third user wrote: "It is so highly suspicious that on the same day of trailer release they announced 'Sanjay Dutt' illness. He must and should recover and no one deserve illness, but this is high flying PR crap to draw emotions towards a known flop... #BoycottSadak2 #BoycottBollywood."

Several memes on the film's trailer also flooded social media on Wednesday.

A Twitterati wrote: "Bollywoodiyas are so scared of us that they have disabled the comment section of their tweet .. yeh dar Acha hai #BoycottSadak2."

Meanwhile, a section of netizens who aren't supporting the trailer showed sympathies to Sanjay Dutt, who has been diagnosed with lung cancer recently.
