Box office: 'Kabir Singh' becomes third highest grosser of 2019

Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer 'Kabir Singh' has crossed Rs 150 crore mark at the box office. The movie earned Rs 17.10 crores on Saturday taking the total collection to Rs 163 crores.

New Delhi: After becoming Shahid Kapoor's career biggest opener, 'Kabir Singh' has entered the Rs 150 crore club making it the third highest grosser of 2019.

The movie that minted Rs 70.83 crores in its opening weekend has surpassed the lifetime business of 'Kesari' and 'Total Dhamaal'. It is likely to cross Rs 175 crore on Sunday.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on his Twitter.

'Kabir Singh', a Hindi remake of Telugu smash hit 'Arjun Reddy' has received extremely positive reviews from both, audience and critics.

While Shahid's self-destructive character is largely liked by the audience, Kiara Advani has also impressed the audience speaking more through her eyes.

Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar, and Ashwin Varde, 'Kabir Singh' hit the screens on June 21.
