As the Page 3 actor Boman Irani and his son Kayoze Irani who starred in KJo's 2012 release SOTY is all set to mark their directorial debut soon.

Mumbai: The Student of the Year fame actor Kayoze Irani is all set to mark his directorial debut with an upcoming project set to be aired on Netflix.

The actor who started off his career as an assistant director for Ek Main Aur Ek Tu made his acting debut with Karan Johar's coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama. His character Sudo was well accepted by the audience.

Father Boman Irani, who is also set to make his directorial debut, took to social media on Sunday to wish and guide him on his journey of being a director.

He wrote: "At @kayozeirani set to wish, bless and silently guide him for his first short film as a director, to be released on Netflix."

He further added: "Going through the takes on the monitor. Watching, feeling, loving. Proud of you son!"

Kayoze had earlier acted in Syed Ahmed Afzal political film Youngistaan and the comedy-drama titled The Legend of Michael Mishra directed by Manish Jha.

If news reports are to be believed, the 3 Idiots actor is also gearing up to make his debut as a director. The actor who has played various roles in a handful number of genres starting from comedy to action-adventure oriented drama has reportedly zeroed in on the script.

A source close to the Iranis has revealed the process of hunting new and fresh talents is on and that they are mid-way through it.

Speaking about his directorial debut, he said: "The process is on and I must admit that getting the right actors is quite a difficult job. First, the script took time and now this. We're trying to close it by the end of this year. I can only reveal that it's a father and son story."

Meanwhile, the actor is currently busy filming for the sports drama based on Kapil Dev's historic win at the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
