Bollywood stars salute nurses' efforts on International Nurses Day

On the occasion of International Nurses Day, Bollywood stars on Wednesday thanked all the nurses who are tirelessly working during the pandemic. International Nurses Day is observed annually around the world on May 12.

New Delhi: Commemorating the occasion of International Nurses Day, on Wednesday, Bollywood stars dedicated posts to all the nurses who are tirelessly working during the pandemic, thanking them for their commendable effort in fighting COVID-19.

Abhishek Bachchan shared a video montage on Twitter with short accounts of nurses who have been serving patients during the pandemic. Along with it, he wrote, "The nurses have kept humanity above everything else working long hours & risking their lives to protect their patients. This #InternationalNursesDay I salute their relentless efforts & their undying spirit to fight Covid-19. We'll always be indebted to you."

Kajol also shared a video on Twitter, lauding the efforts of nurses, and tweeted, "In times like this let's raise a toast to our very own practical gods and goddesses! #InternationalNursesDay."

International Nurses Day is observed annually around the world on May 12 to commemorate nurses and the nursing profession globally. The day also happens to be the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, an English nurse who was also a social reformer and a statistician.
