Mumbai: Bollywood's megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his family extended New Year wishes to fans on Friday and shared a glimpse of their celebrations on social media.

Taking to Instagram, senior Bachchan and his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai shared a sneak peek of their New Year celebrations as they bid adieu to 2020.

The 'Shahenshah' of Indian cinema posted a self-clicked snap that captures him sporting shimmery party hat, with dashing radiant glasses. Along with the picture that garnered more than 4 lakh likes he wrote, "Peace love and harmony 2021 .. Varsh nav harsh nav; jeevan utkarsh nav (translation, New Year, New cheers, New Flourish)".

Whereas Aishwarya also shared a series of snaps that featured the family including senior Bachchan, mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan, husband Abhishek Bachchan, and daughter Aaradhya in one frame flashing out their jauntiness for the occasion.

She noted, "LOVE, PEACE and HAPPINESS GOD BLESS. HAPPY 2021," in the caption with red heart emoticons.

Earlier, Amitabh had also shared a picture with his granddaughter on the micro-blogging platform while they recorded a song in their studio.

Actor Kangana Ranaut is all set to enter 2021 like a 'Queen' as she returned to her hometown Manali after visiting Mumbai.

The 'Tanu Weds Manu' actor took to Instagram on Thursday to share a picture her amazing shoe collection.

Surrounded by her wide range of stylish shoes, the 33-year-old actor can be seen cleaning her shoes and arranging them in organised manner.

"Ever since I have come home, been only cleaning cleaning and cleaning," she captioned the post.

"They say what you own, owns you as well, after incessant cleaning of days I feel like a slave of my own possessions. Hopefully I will be done today and enter 2021 like a Queen," she added.

Ranaut had earlier in the week visited Mumbai to pay a visit to the Mumbai Devi and Siddhivinayak temple with her family.

Remembering his late father and actor Irrfan Khan on New Year, Babil Khan on Friday shared two pictures that capture the father-son bond.

Taking to Instagram, Babil shared two throwback candid pictures featuring him with his late father. The first picture is a monochromatic picture that shows the duo lying exhausted in the bed.

Whereas, the second picture is an all-smiles picture that captures a precious moment between Irrfan and his son as they both grace the snap with their radiant smiles.

In the caption, Babil wrote, "On to the next one without you, still with your compassion. Public ko Happy new year!"

Earlier, Babil also shared about a father and late actor Irrfan Khan's last film titled 'The Song of The Scorpions' which is set to be released in 2021.

The internationally renowned actor Irrfan Khan passed away in April this year at Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital while battling a rare kind of cancer.
