Bollywood celebrities including Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Yami Gautam are celebrating the spirit of motherhood by posting special pictures and videos on social media the occasion of Mother's Day.

Mumbai: Celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Mahesh Babu, Sudheer Babu and Yami Gautam among many others shared photographs with their "beautiful" mothers and expressed gratitude on the occasion of Mother's Day on Sunday.

Here is what some of the celebrities have to say on the occasion:

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan paid a tribute to all mothers in a clip and wrote: "Every day is Mother's Day..to the most beautiful Mother in the World .. my Amma ji."

"Remember when you were unwell, and she nursed you back to health? This #MothersDay, let's go back to those old days, and share our troubles with our loved ones. Corona se ladna hain, darna nahin hain! #IndiaFightsCorona #SetuMeraBodyguard@mygovindia"

Ayushmann Khurrana dedicated a special Mother's Day song to all the moms in the world.

Salman Khan shared the teaser of his song 'Tere bina' and wrote: "'Tere bina'... wishing all mothers a v happy Mother's Day."

Priyanka Chopra: "Happy Mother's Day to all the maternal figures around the world. Today, we celebrate you. Love you, Mom. @madhuchopra @DeniseJonas."

Karan Johar: "Thank you for teaching me everyday how to be a mother ....I love you so much ... #HappyMothersDay."

Kareena Kapoor Khan shared an adorable photograph of herself with Taimur and captioned it: "This pretty much sums up mother's day and well... every other day with Tim #HappyMothersDay."

Sanjay Dutt: "Happy Mother's Day."

Anushka Sharma: "Love you maa."

Sonam Kapoor put out a few stunning pictures with her mom Sunita Kapoor and her mother-in-law Priya Ahuja on Instagram, wishing them both a happy Mother's Day.

Sonali Bendre was seen catching up with her mom and aunt (maasi) over a video call amid the coronavirus-induced lockdown.

Yami Gautam: "To the most beautiful relation ever created...my mumma #happymothersday."

Soha Ali Khan shared a gorgeous picture of herself along with her mother Sharmila Tagore where they both are seen dressed in sarees as they smile along while posing for the camera.

Kunal Kemmu took to Instagram and shared a couple of childhood pictures with his mom. He also shared a picture from the present time while taking a stroll with his mom in the garden as his mom hugs him.

'Mrs Funny bones' Twinkle Khanna shared a picture capturing the three generations, herself, her mom and her daughter while they relax in the garden. Along with the picture, she shared a link to the mother's special piece she had penned.

Expressing love towards their mother, Bollywood celebs are trying to make the most giving person in their lives feel special today as the world celebrates International Mother's Day.
